Infernal Hordes can feel messy when you're chasing materials and every corner of the arena needs attention. A good run starts before you use an Infernal Compass, though. Check your defenses, clear some inventory space, and decide what you're farming. If you're comparing Diablo 4 Items while planning upgrades, identify the weak spots in your setup first. More damage helps, but it won't rescue a build that runs out of resources halfway through a crowded wave. You'll get more from this activity when your character can keep fighting without constant interruptions.

Bring a Build That Keeps Moving

You don't need a perfect setup to get started. You do need area damage you can use repeatedly, enough resource recovery to sustain it, and defenses that hold up when enemies surround you. Test those basics before committing to longer farming sessions. Keep a few Compasses ready so you're not forced to switch activities after every run. It's also worth checking your current seasonal bonuses for anything that supports Hordes. Treat those bonuses as extra help. Your regular combat rhythm should still work when a cooldown isn't available.

Give Each Wave a Clear Priority

It's tempting to chase whichever enemy is closest. That keeps you busy, but it doesn't always help your Aether total. Watch for Aether Fiends, Soulspires, and other objectives that contribute to your rewards. Move toward them while clearing nearby packs instead of drifting around the arena. Don't stand still just to finish one stubborn target if the ground around you becomes dangerous. Reposition, rebuild your damage, then return. Keep a defensive skill available for those moments when several threats overlap. Spending everything on an easy pack can leave you exposed seconds later.

Choose Offers Your Character Can Handle

Between waves, take a moment to read the offerings. The biggest reward increase isn't automatically the best pick for your run. Think about what's already causing trouble. If you're struggling to stay alive, another difficult modifier might cost more than its extra Aether is worth. Start with choices you understand, then push harder once your clears feel steady. Playing with friends Agree on priorities before selecting an offer. A quick conversation helps everyone focus on the same objectives instead of splitting attention across the arena.

Spend Rewards With Your Next Upgrade in Mind

After the Fell Council falls, choose Spoils that match the reason you entered. Materials, equipment, and gold serve different needs, so don't let habit decide for you. Compare several runs by completion time and useful rewards, not just your best Aether total. Whether you're considering cheap Diablo 4 materials or gathering everything through play, knowing what your next upgrade requires makes planning easier. If later waves keep ending your attempts, ease back on risky offers and adjust your defenses before trying again.
